Patagonia Adventure Explorer reviews
We chose this particular tour because it included an opportunity to get out on one of the islands and walk a while. The guide shared interesting information about the indigenous people and showed us..... more »
We enjoyed the trip very much and also the liquor afterwards and the game with which the winner has to send a photo with the argentian flag! more »
I went to a beagle tour with them in the morning, which was super nice, even though they don’t have the tour to visit the penguins, but the tour to visit the birds island, sea lion and the lighthouse was awesome, small group of people( no more than 25), which means a small boat and with that you can get so close to the animals, and the other hand the guide gave us a lot of information, so you won’t end up only taking pictures, you will know more about this beautiful place, highly recommended. They have tour in the morning/afternoon/night, but I think at night the need a minimum 8 people?
There is great competiton between various companies to offer the classic 3-hour navigation tour around the Beagle canal (the 'short' route, without penguins). They all pretty much do the same so the difference is the size of the ship: bigger = more people taking stupid selfies = cheaper. At the time we were the price ranged from €30 to €40 depending on this. This company has a medium/ small ship (max 25 people) which has more than sufficient deck room to look at the landscape and fauna without being disturbed. It can also get closer to the sea lions than the others. For us it was a great deal. The whole navigation is nicely organised and give you hot drinks and buiscuits, which is the norm. And a shot. We loved it! Mind that if you want to see penguins you need to take the longer 8-hour tour, which not every company does, and some times of the year there are very few penguins, if any, so consider this decision carefully.
