Gala Estate Vineyard
Taste some of Tasmania’s award-winning pinot noir at Gala Estate Vineyard, the second-oldest family-owned business on the island. Situated in a river valley on a sheep station, the vineyard occupies 11 ha (27 ac) of land and is run by the fifth, sixth, and seventh-generation descendants of James Amos, the first custodian of this land. Meet the welcoming family, admire the quirky 1820s cellar door, and taste the premium quality wines while nibbling on Tasmanian cheeses, olives, and fresh walnuts. Beautiful setting, delicious wines, engaging staff.

We visited three Vineyards around the area. This is the only one that charged for wine tasting but redeemed by purchase of wine. We chose the $5 pp. They have good wines. We ended up tasting the $10 pp as well and bought two bottles. Cellar door staff is friendly and nice. Good wine tasting experience.
