Winery / Vineyard · Food & Drink
Taste some of Tasmania’s award-winning pinot noir at Gala Estate Vineyard, the second-oldest family-owned business on the island. Situated in a river valley on a sheep station, the vineyard occupies 11 ha (27 ac) of land and is run by the fifth, sixth, and seventh-generation descendants of James Amos, the first custodian of this land. • Beautiful setting, delicious wines, engaging staff.
  • We visited three Vineyards around the area. This is the only one that charged for wine tasting but redeemed by purchase of wine. We chose the $5 pp. They have good wines. We ended up tasting the $10 pp as well and bought two bottles. Cellar door staff is friendly and nice. Good wine tasting experience.
