One of the most recognizable features in town, The Town Clock was installed in 1909 and features five bells imported from England. In 2011, the town officials considered stopping the clock from striking at night, as the sound bothered tourists staying in the city center. The plan was never carried out. Adjacent to the clock tower you'll find the town's visitor center. The Town Clock reviews
A lovely historical clock in town. Strange that the city is so quiet unlike other capital cities, but it makes it a lot more enjoyable to walk around and enjoy the history of Launceston! more »
This is a good landmark in Launceston and is next to the Post Office. Drop in to the library across the road. more »
