Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary Reviews
The buildings are in need of update. Tired facilities. We could not understand why we were being asked to pay for the “privilege “ of feeding the poultry after paying for the feed. Happy to pay for..... more »
This was initially just a place to break the journey from Cradle Mountain to Launceston so we weren't expecting it to be such a lovely outing. This small sanctuary has lots of kangaroos and wallabies.... more »
This wildlife sanctuary is a fantastic place where they rescue, repair, rehabilitate and release indigenous injured animals. The staff are passionate about what they do which makes your visit special. Catch one of the tours which are very informative and you get to see the featured animals up close. You can buy food to hand feed the roaming animals which is a delightful experience. A fantastic day out for all the family.
The guide was fantastic, knew her subjects well and was friendly, tolerant and obviously enjoys her job. Mathematics was not the receptionists strong point however, charged for a family because she said it was cheaper even though only one senior and two children. The kids enjoyed it though and learnt some new information.
