Welcome to Bridestowe Lavender Estate! We are one of the world's largest and oldest lavender farms, located a scenic 45-minute drive from Launceston in Tasmania's picturesque North East region.Plan trip to Lebrina with our itinerary maker to find out where to go and what to do.
We are best known for our signature view of our seemingly endless fields of lavender in full bloom. Our flowers bloom in Summer, with the peak bloom usually showing from mid December through to early February. This can vary slightly every year depending on the conditions of the season - it is all up to Mother Nature! We share plenty of photos and updates on our Facebook feed as the season progresses so you know what to expect.
We welcome visitors to the Estate all year round to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and spectacular views of our contoured rows of lavender, ornamental gardens and native bushland set against the striking backdrop of Mount Arthur. In winter the farm takes on a serene feel and is a wonderful place to take time out and enjoy the beautiful surrounds with a lavender hot chocolate by the fireplace.
We offer great coffee and fresh seasonal meals in the cafe and an extensive variety of quality Australian-made gifts in our shop including our famous Bobbie the Bear.
Our facilities include shopping, cafe, parking and restrooms, all of which are fully accessible for visitors with mobility restrictions.
If you are planning your visit for December/January, kindly note that we are closed on Christmas Day (25/12), but we are open on every other day of the year, including weekends, public holidays and throughout the New Year period.

We went out of our way to visit Bridestowe, but didn't go in. We were not prepared to pay $20 per person without knowing what we were going to see. more »

The lavender farm is managed by French decedents and is really huge but the timing has to be right if you want to have the calendar poster. We visited on 26 Jan 2019 and were advised the best time is mid Dec to early Jan. you can still enjoy the lavender ice cream or probably the lavender rice pudding. Every item has a lavender fragrance and my wife still smells like lavender.

Nice place to visit the large lavender farm. There is a cover charge to enter, which includes a free guided tour. The tour guide shared details how the lavender is harvested and processed to produce the lavender oil. The lavender ice cream was yummy. You should try it! The gift shop has lots of lavender products, from creams , soaps, to culinary use lavender.
