KZ-Gedenkstatte Mauthausen shares the story of a concentration camp, introduces you to its inhabitants, and takes you on a journey through their lives and deaths. Although the exact number of deaths is unknown, it's estimated to have been between 122,700 and 320,000. Walk through interpretive exhibits with more than 100 original objects, plus 30 videos and audio interviews with survivors and witnesses. You'll be able to pass through rooms where inmates from more than 40 countries lived, as well as through gas chambers where they were suffocated and crematoriums where bodies were disposed of.
