Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa

4.2
#1 of 263 in Outdoors in Cyprus
Get the party going at Nissi Beach, Cyprus's number one party spot. Stretching along 500 m (0.3 mi) of white sand seashore, the beach is considered one of the most exotic one on the island and it's been awarded the EU Blue Flag. The sea is shallow and crystal clear here, while the surrounding area is filled with palm trees and subtropical plants. You'll see a small islet just offshore, which you can access by foot, for a completely new view of Ayia Napa. Refrain, however, from joining the cliff jumpers at this spot. • The fine white sand beach. Good place for kids, but there is one but! There are a lot of young people who tusjat in beach bars. But you can go to the other side and be quieter

  • It was a cold wet and deserted January day when we visited this beach so can't really pass judgement but it probably looked better today than thronging with brollys, sun beds and flabby flesh in peak ...  more »
  • I've seen rarely as beautiful water. It is really clear and the sand beach is breathtaking. We were in the main season here and contrary to some other reviews I felt not too crowded. You must run just a little bit further in and there, almost everything is free. Only to the concerns with the umbrellas in the vicinity of the bars, it's very crowded. Mainly families with children have been on the beach and we felt very well taken. My opinion only shortcoming would be that sometimes some tourists behave very badly and leave their garbage anywhere even though there are enough trash cans.

  • You won't find Nessie the lock monster here! Nice place to relax, swim and have fun. The only minor downside is the pay as you go showers 50cents for 30secs! It takes 10 secs to put your head under before your eyes water cuts out! Showers should be free!
  • Nissi beach has one of the most beautiful waters I have ever seen. It was clear and light blue. The sands were also beautiful and very soft. It was very lively at noon.
  • Very nice and cozy beach .. just relax and take one of these pineapple with pina colada :)
  • clear water and a party vibe but if you want to swim its not the place, the water is too shallow
  • Great beach ! With crystal blue color. Party atmosphere, music, foam parties, water games and bars are available. Usually crowded in the summer.
