See Hala Sultan Tekke, an Islamic complex with a mosque, mausoleum, and a cemetery located alongside a salt lake. The cemetery dates back to the Bronze Age, two millennia BCE. According to popular belief, the remains of the Prophet Mohammed's foster mother also lies at the site. For that reason, it is considered one the highly sacred Muslim shrines of the world. Admire the pristine setting of the lake and the complex's subtropical landscape. To visit Hala Sultan Tekke and other attractions in Larnaca, use our Larnaca tour app .
Hala Sultan Tekke Reviews
Замечательное и умиротворяющее место. Одна из немногих открытых для посетителей мечетей. Воодушевляющее место, на берегу солёного озера. При мечети есть приют для бездомных котов. more »Wonderful and soothing place. One of the few open for visitors to mosques. Enchanting location on the shore of Salt Lake. When the mosque there is a shelter for homeless cats.
В принципе и ехали мы в эту мечеть не для того чтобы на нее посмотреть. Доча очень любит котиков, решили сделать ей сюрприз. Но в этот день был большой праздник на кипре и почти все магазины продуктов... more »In principle, and we went to the mosque not to look at her. Daughter loves, decided to surprise her. But this day was a great holiday in Cyprus and almost all grocery stores were closed. And we like to buy food for cats. With a proved to be only a banger, but it sufficed to daughter surrounded more than a hundred raznoshestnyh and colorful cats and cats. The child was in shock, and we with the wife too. Very cool. Photo exclusively more than 5 MB, the attach fails everything nasnimali and was still and video "feeding".
Beautiful mosque set in the most beautiful location, right on the edge of a salt lake. As the sun sets you can see the reflection of the mosque in the lake. There's an aura of calm in and around the grounds of the mosque, a most surreal feeling indeed.
Nice Mosque with a great placement near the Larnaca Salt Lake. It also has some ruins of an old placement on the left extremity of the inner courtyard. You can stop before reaching the Mosque in a small parking place near the road, where you can take pictures of the Mosque and maybe some flamingo birds (from October to May).
