Frauenkirche Dresden, Dresden

4.7
Experience the fruits of postwar reconstruction at Frauenkirche Dresden. Although destroyed by Allied bombing in World War II, the rebuilt church recreates the original structure's imposing 18th-century Baroque architecture. Enter to see the grand hall, and head up to the dome (one of Europe's largest) for fantastic views and photo ops of the city. Before your trip to Dresden, make sure to check the cathedral’s website as they frequently hold concerts. • The Frauenkirche is an absolute must. The story behind this building, I do not tell here ( googeln ) but it is a really beautiful church, which is worth seeing. We were lucky enough to be the annual party at 6 p.m. and attended the service. The organ has an imposing sound and is very beautifully decorated. Unfortunately we were not on the arch of the tower, because he had too.

  • Amazing chirch. Incredibly beautiful and large church. It stands alone in the square, towering above everything that is around it. Very beautiful architecture and design, both inside and outside... I rarely give churches a higher rating than usual, because I am skeptical of religion, but I never let this interfere with an unbiased assessment of the building itself. The greatness and aesthetics of this church are admired by the work done by its creators.
  • Amazing Church! Beautiful inside and outside. It's interesting to point how some bricks are darker on the outside. This is because those were part of the original construction before the destruction on WW 2.
