Deutsches Architekturmuseum Reviews
more »Across the river from Frankfurt Cathedral, across the bridge is the Museum Street, which is lined with museums and museums, and is at one end of the list of German Architectural Museums. I use a modern arrangement of an old building. When it comes to museums about architecture, it's easy to imagine a big building, but it's so small and i was surprised. The contents of the exhibition are a lot of miniatures because the building is small.

In addition, the permanent exhibition does not encourage re-viewing, as it is not particularly extensive. However, the temporary exhibitions are always worth a visit and also change completely every 4 months.
Lovely displays on three levels. The permanent exhibition on architectural themes were educative. The photography competition in architecture was memorable. And the story of architectural renaissance in Bangladesh, titled Bengal Stream was really good to read and the models and photographs on display brought in significant realisticness.
It's complicated - the permanent exhibition is very nice, impressive, detailed and the craftsmanship is of high quality. The current addition of local stage designer was great idea, but done too "thin". Biggest current exhibition about Bangladesh was a real mess...got lost in it, overload of ideas, confusing design...disorientation unavoidable. The other current exhibition, architecture of joy, was the reason we came - again, great concept, nicely presented in this case, though simple, but really only a small portion was relevant to the title, in my opinion. Fun fact - men's toilet have mirrors all around (see photos) interesting choice...
