  • My daughter wanted to be sure. Great exhibition. Much to join in. Very exciting for me.

  • The German film Museum is located on the museum embankment on the Sachsenhausen side. All basic about film, television, theater and filmmaking from the past shows up to the present day. Specific topics such as silent films, classics, Western or comic are treated here and shown in the small museum's own cinema as films. Special exhibitions, such as for example on the subject of animation film or comics are really recommended. Here, the making is explained very well off and also shows how much effort put into the production of a comic book movie.

  • A varied exhibition, starting with the history of the moving image. Nicely done and not too big for a visit in the afternoon.

  • Quality experience, loved this museum made me feel like a kid again. Really good for children very interactive. Although there were quite a few things not working, otherwise it would be 5*. Would recommend if you are in Frankfurt especially with children. Also only two floors but they manage to pack a lot of information into two small spaces.
  • Although small, it has interesting exhibits. My favorite is the 4-screen projection of excerpts from landmark movies (of any time) based on different themes (sound effects, acting, nature etc). One can sit on a bench and watch the long session and try to guess from which movie the scenes are! Totally worth checking out the movie shows they have regularly in the basement theatre.
  • Nice permanent exhibition, great place at the riverbank, close to the centre. Placing the green screen installation (*very* popular with kids 😒) next to the 'sound' part of the exhibition is a poor choice to say the least.
  • Visited the Stanley Kubricks exposition 2001 A Space Oddysey, best film expo i've seen in years. Totaly recommended!
  • Great exhibition of early visuals through film history. Wonderful place to visit in Frankfurt.
