A palace with a dynamic history, Thurn und Taxis Palace was originally built in the 18th century as the home of an imperial official. The building was a meeting place for the Federal Assembly of the German Confederation when Frankfurt was a free city. In 1905, the palace was given to the city, which turned it into a Museum of Ethnology. The entire structure was destroyed in World War II, but in 2010 the reconstructed palace reopened as part of the Palais Quartier development project. Much of the valuable decor, furnishings, and artifacts inside the palace were saved from the war's destruction, so you can admire them on your guided tour. You must have a guide to tour the palace; one will be provided when you purchase your ticket. You have the option of a 90-minute premium tour and an hour-long compact tour. Good peace of history. This is where the fist post service begins. You need to go through museum because most of it close to the public it is still privately own big part of it. Just around the corner look for old church, you will be impressed how old it is dating to. I found 800s old cemetery inside the church.
