The only venue of its kind in the Middle East, Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art boasts an extensive collection in a modest setting. Established in 1959, the museum houses some 7,000 artworks dating back as far as the 14th century and including ceramics, handcrafted fans, and samurai swords. The museum complements its exhibits with regular evens, including Japanese cooking workshops, flower arrangement lessons, and calligraphy classes.   • The museum overall is disappointing. Allow about 45 minutes to an hour, and it is only open on Wednesday and Thursday. There are no explanations about different art styles or eras, which makes it...  more »
  • Museum well organized. It also participates in Haifa Annual Film festival, and, recently, all my visits to the museum were to watch participating movies. Movie hall seats for about 150 viewers.
  • We visited there recently during the big Haifa Film Festival. We had the opportunity to get inside the museum for a few minutes before the movie began. The exhibits were so good and beautiful to watch. We learnt a lot
