There's an unusual friend waiting to hang out with you over at Owl cafe Akiba Fukurou. Yes, owls of various shapes and sizes perch patiently here, ready to be held and petted. Much like Tokyo's popular cat cafes, in which the every day stresses of city life melt away in the company of a friendly creature, here you'll get an hour-long session with a room full of owls. As ambient mood music plays away from the neon lit, busy streets, you can move from owl to owl, aquainting yourself with the various breeds, and interacting with them in this novel establishment. Be aware that the owls may sometimes make a mess on you (which the staff will do their best to clean up), so consider wearing something you don't mind getting a little dirty. Planning Tokyo trip won't be overwheling when you use's Insprock itinerary maker.

Amazing experience being among some of the most beautiful creatures on the planet. The owls I got to hold were very peaceful and happy to sit on my arm. It gave me so much joy to see them sitting and.... more »
Such an amazing experience. You can tell the owners really care for the owls. They were so kind and helpful. We really loved our experience here and would recommend to anyone looking for an owl cafe. Easy to make a reservation and they do a great job preparing you ahead of time. The owls will likely poop on you - so wear clothes you don’t want to wear more than once! If you accept that it will happen, it’ll be fine!
This place was great, I was able to easily make a reservation online and got a confirmation email shortly. When I arrived we were explained how to handle and deal with the Owls. We got to see all of them and take a lot of nice pictures. It was very cool seeing so many different kinds of owls. My girlfriend even had an owl jump onto her head which made for great pictures. I highly recommend coming here. Thanks!
