Located within a larger park commemorating the bombing of Hiroshima, Atomic Bomb Dome haunts with the memory of the lives lost during the attack. Now designated as a World Heritage Site, the former exhibition hall was the only building that remained standing near the bomb's hypocenter; today, it memorializes the 70,000 who perished immediately in the bombing, as well as the additional 70,000 who passed away from the bomb's aftereffects. Though you cannot enter the ruin, you can approach and circle the surrounding gate to see light flooding through the skeleton of the building. I just stood and looked at this building around 20 minutes. It’s really hard to explain my feeling at that time, everything was so quiet with the sunset. Even local people or tourism talked like whispering to each other. I feel like this place has a magic which nobody can explain. If you are in Japan or travel there, I highly recommend Hiroshima.

The remarkable remaining of Hiroshima Prefecture Industrial Promotion Hall, is now called as Atomic Dome, was in the area of the first atomic bomb exploded on 6 August 1945. It is now served as symbol of both horrors of atomic war and the hope for world peace.
