  • Yobe Iron Bridge is a place where there is a painful past that the train fell due to strong winds. It's the site of the disaster, but I guess you can only see the sea, the mountains, the iron bridge, and the train (not electrified) here. Because it is not electrified, there are no electric wires, and the train and the scenery may be beautiful. I visited at night. The crystal tower is not as much of a light-up as you'd expect. I learned that the item of "Yobe Bridge" in "Matsuko's unknown world" was selected as an "excellent article" in Wikipedia, and I read it. I was showing a video of the history of Yobe Tetsubashi in "Sky Station", but it was an article that made the contents more casual.

  • The area under the current Bridge is a park. There is a parking lot, a road station, a public restroom, and an elevator to go up to the observatory. "Michinoeki Amarube" has a shop, a dining room and a museum, but it is a small-scale facility. Now, three old bee piers that were used before are stored, and the top of it is an observation deck (empty station), and you can go up by elevator or on foot. The elevator is available free of charge. The observatory (empty station) is one that is installed using the old railway and iron bridge that is preserved, you can walk on the rail, sit on a bench that is set up in some places, and the view of the Sea of Japan, You can enjoy the sense of altitude that seems to be sucked in when you look under the iron bridge. The train stops at JR Yabe Station next to the observatory (an empty station). The station is an unmanned station. A small waiting room is built in this home, and the wind and rain are able to be helped in the rough weather. It is a good place to enjoy the superb view of the Sea of Japan and the railway heritage.
