Trip Planner:   Asia  /  Japan  /  Kansai  /  Osaka Prefecture  /  Osaka  /  Kita  /  Kids Plaza Osaka
Take the kids to Kids Plaza Osaka, a museum aimed squarely at children, helping them learn through play. Across five themed floors, the museum has kids climbing on surreal structures designed by Austrian architect Friedensreich Hundertwasse, teaching to play weird and wonderful musical instruments from around the world, or becoming police or postal workers in the make-believe town on the fourth floor. You can find plenty more activities on site, and although there is no cafeteria, you're welcome to bring a packed lunch, or can come and go as you please during the visit by showing your pass. • It's a place I love nine and five-year-old grandchildren. Because it is indoors, it is not influenced by the weather, and it runs around while being indoors, and the body can move enough. Experience the work of various shops, it seems to be fun anyway. There is also a place to take a lunch box and eat it.

  • Our toddler was able to enjoy his time in Kids Plaza Osaka. We spent around 3 hours here and enjoyed our time together (including us!). The space is huge and didn't feel too crowded even with students...  more »

  • I highly recommend this place for people with kids. Especially on those rainy or cold days, and the kids have too much energy to burn. There are a lot of things to do, and even the parents can enjoy playing with their kids. Unfortunately, it isn't free, so be ready to pay. The Plaza is located relatively close to the station and us inside a TV station building so it may look a bit odd. When you enter the building , it seems a bit boring and not much going on, but when you head to the forth floor, that's when the fun starts. In the building there are both fun and educational items which is one of the reasons I love it for my kids. I wasn't able to tour the whole play area as it was pretty big, and I had to catch a train. I recommend people to take sanitation wipes or gels because a lot of people are touching a lot of things, and you don't know what they have.
  • A real good place to take the kids. Highly interactive and fun.
