Lovely little museum, out of the bustling centre, with recreation of Edo-period village. Staff extremely helpful, informative and friendly.

Really cool museum. Amazing concept with pretty much a whole historic village housed indoors in a huge modern building. This museum was very popular with Japanese locals and we were amongst very few tourists. Attention to detail was very good and we learnt a lot about Edo era history.
Best museum ever!! Lovely guide who walks you through the entire replica village to explain everything.. and you can touch and play with all the props too! The lighting and sound design change every 15mins to replicate the time in day and seasons. Mind blowing attention to detail. Great value for what you pay.
