Inspect the 11-headed, gilded wooden statue of the goddess Kannon at Hase-dera Temple. Explore the seven buildings of this mountainside pilgrimage site, which also has a lengthy underground tunnel. Enjoy peaceful reflection in the picturesque gardens, meditating over the peaceful koi ponds and year-round splendor. Hase-dera Temple Reviews
本堂内には高さ12mの日本最大の観音様が祀ら... more »From Kintetsu Haseji Station, you will be walking down steep stairs and hills in front of the station, and then walking a gentle climb for nearly 20 minutes. Pass through the Niomon Gate and climb the covered staircase "Corridor". It breaks to the right on the way and then it turns to the left and climbs, but at first the slope is lukewarm and long, and it becomes short and steep every time you turn the corner. It is said that it will be 399 steps, but it is the main hall when you climb it. There is a stage in the same way as Kyoto Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and the view is wonderful. The main hall is home to the largest Kannon in Japan with a height of 12 meters, but you can only see Kannon's feet in spring and autumn, and you can only see the upper body from the temple. There is a shuttle bus to Murouji Temple from the front of the gate.
more »Take a long climb down the famous long lanterns and head to the main hall with national treasures. You can enjoy a panoramic view of the garden from the stage in front of the main hall.
