  • This was definitely something new for me! Right next to the sand dunes, this museum puts up a new display every year. We were lucky enough to see the 2019 one, right after it opened. The sculptures...  more »
  • We've never been anywhere else like it. Enormous and perfect sand sculptures like nowhere else. Reasonable entry price too.  more »

  • They seem to do a theme each year. Seeing the work up close in person is pretty cool. The detail, even making shadows in the sand. Then, reading the artist reason for the design makes everything seem complete. There is a bus that takes you directly there or one right around the corner. The area also has plenty of parking, if not at the museum down the street.
  • A very unique museum with exhibits featuring different countries every year. This year’s theme is Nordic countries. The sand sculptures are incredibly detailed and there are back stories explained in English so you can understand the history or folklore behind them. It seems like there are some special activities for taking pictures or making your own sculptures (more for kids) that are open at other times, but not Tuesday night when we went. It’s a cool museum but pretty small and a little pricey for the entrance fee.
