An urban waterfront park built around Fugan Canal, Fugan Unga Kansui Park makes a popular spot to relax for locals of all age. Criss-crossed by trails, green playgrounds, and large lawns, the park also features rows of cherry trees. A canal bridge spans between two observation towers, which offer panoramic views of the city and a small bird reserve nearby. The bridge changes colors during the night and can be admired from the only food and drink outlet available, Starbucks. You can see Toyama from the water by taking a boat cruise on the canal. You can take the nine-minute walk from Toyama station’s north gate, or you can borrow a free bicycle at the station. The Fugan Canal area is nice to walk around & worth the walk from train station of 25 minutes. There are boat rides from there too. more »

A really beautiful Starbucks cafe. Nice views and is totally worth a visit. Was able to get a seat even when arrived on a busy crowded night. Perhaps I was lucky and the crowd of people was amazingly nice.

It's a definitely not your average Starbucks wishing the grass is greener which will bring out the green in Starbucks. Nevertheless, take a walk there from Toyama station, it's a nice little walk plus the park is nice. It was full house except for the outside patio tables and it got really crowded when a tour group rolled in. I have to apologise to the staff, I didn't know where the flush button was at the toilet. The men's toilet was not accessible so if you are reading this, I am sorry about not able to flush as I thought it's an automatic sensor.
