Papapapaitai Falls, Apia

#3 of 8 in Parks in Apia
Nature / Park · Waterfall
View one of the longest waterfalls in Samoa at Papapapaitai Falls. Visitors can't actually reach the falls--this grand cascade is only viewable from afar, at a viewpoint next to the road. However, on a sunny day, it's a beautiful sight even from a distance. If you visit the viewpoint after a rainfall, when the waterfall is at its strongest, you may even hear a distant thundering. See Papapapaitai Falls and all Apia has to offer by arranging your trip with our Apia road trip tool.

  • Located about 30 mins drive from central Apia on the cross island rd. Well worth a stop on the way across the island.  more »
  • A lovely setting. Well worth the drive up here. The clouds rolled in and we took some stunning photos.  more »
  • It's free not like other waterfalls where you have to pay just to look. Close to town but might be difficult to see the small new sign on the main road. Unfortunately there is alot of rubbish being thrown down the mountain. I hung up a recycled tyre sign to try & encourage people to keep place clean but someone stole that.
  • Always stop here on my way to the Beach
