Odaesan, also known as Mount Odaesan or Mount Odae, is a South Korean mountain peak in Gangwon, South Korea, standing at the junction of the districts of Gangneung, Pyeongchang, and Hongcheon. At an elevation of 1563m it is the centerpiece of Odaesan National Park.Odaesan stands at the junction of the Taebaek Mountains and the Charyeong Mountains, a spur range stretching to the west. The chief of its five peaks is Birobong. It stands just to the south of Seoraksan along the Baekdudaegan, the range of white peaks that make up the symbolic spine of the Korean Peninsula.HistoryOne of the four royal archives of the Joseon Dynasty is located on the Odaesan. It was founded in 1606 to house the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty and Uigwe or "Royal Protocols of the Joseon Dynasty". All but one of the Joseon archives were burned during the Japanese invasions of Korea. Although the Annals themselves were removed in the early 20th century and taken to Japan, where they were lost in the Great Kanto earthquake, the archive has been restored.

  • The dazzling beauty of Odaesan Mountain (Odaesan Mountain)-Korean tourism May 5 when enrolled on the map of the most significant autumn-leaf sights. As a preferred destination for annual stays, the Odaesan mountain is particularly attracted to the most brilliant season of the red leaf around the middle of the 10th month. During the high season, the southern region often opens up routes leading to Mt. Odaesan. There will normally be a city bus stop near the Sangwonsa Temple (Sangwonsa temples – 상원사) which makes it easy for tourists to use the public transportation.

  • Seonjae road that is connected by the moon jeongsa. I love the secluded promenade where wheelchairs can be used. It's a quiet, non-weekend Monday, so it's great to walk around. The fir forest path is also very nice. A cute squirrel walks around together.

  • Beautiful place with many trees. You should also visit the temple nearby.
  • It is the name of the Amja in each stand, and the forest-Korea 100 Famous mountains is great for the south-east vs. North-west. Among them, the most beautiful is the cancer of the grave. On sunny days, it is the mountain of the great minister, which can be seen from the Birobong peak to the order of the Daegwallyeong Ranch.
