Built in the 15th century by King Sejong, Changgyeonggung Palace for centuries housed the royals of the Joseon dynasty. The vast complex was restored in the 1980s, making it one of the best preserved palaces in all of South Korea.   • This is very interesting palace. It is not as large as Gyenongbokgung or Changdeokgung. It is connected with the latter. Like the others, the palace was destroyed by Japan during the time of...  more »
  • This was a must see place on our Seoul sightseeing list.. Be sure to stick around for the changing of the guard. You can also take pictures of the guards and have you picture taken with them as long.....  more »

  • Beautiful place! Especially the greenhouse. I was very happy to see some flowers and so much greenery in winter. If you like cats be alert bc there are many hiding around the greenhouse. They enjoy playing in the small park right in front of it.
  • Very pretty Palace and gardens. Not as crowded as some of the other palaces. Has the first Western greenhouse built in Korea. Nice lakes and buildings.
