  • Hangangjin station is located on the side of a quiet, luxurious and modern art museum. Brilliant work, but lots of things worth element Chris Advanced confused haha.

  • Common and unusual-shaped porcelain or never seen at the museum works of art can be seen at the Museum. The audio guide also look close to restaurants in Itaewon and catalysed.

  • This somewhat small museum is beautifully put together. The building itself is an art piece containing ancient and abstract pieces. At one point, a Rothko appears in the middle of ancient pottery, but...  more »

  • I highly recommend renting an audio guide! I cannot stress this enough. This will make your visit 100 times more enjoyable. Otherwise, as a tourist you will find the traditional art exhibits to be very boring. If you listen to the guide, it will tell you all about the history of the pieces, about Korean history, and you'll be able to appreciate them so much more. As for the modern art floors, the audio guide is nice for learning about the artists but otherwise it is subjective.
  • Giving it a 3 stars because I got shouted at for taking a picture of a window looking outward. It's extremely strict and someone is always watching over your every move. It was overall very quiet. I did like how the place was organized. Second floor is for ancient art with things like vases. The first floor is all modern art. I personally enjoyed the modern art the most. Guess it depends on what you are into.
  • Really incredible building and very modern. Museum 1 consisted mainly of vases and pots, which is not my cup of tea. Museum 2 is much more modern and diverse. You are not allowed to take pictures of the exhibition and carry on a bag larger than a purse, but they offer free lockers. Free guided tour on the weekends in English at 3:00 pm (duration 1:30)
  • I really liked this museum. It has two different exhibits. One is Korean traditional art and ceramics and the other one is modern/contemporary art. The building it self is also worth to visit since the architecture is amazing.
  • This is a great museum all around--the architecture of the building itself, the organization and maintenance, and the choice of artworks placed side by side, especially in the international arts wing. I was allowed to take pictures in the Korean wing of the museum, but was chided for attempting to take a photo in the international wing. I guess if they don't want photos for whatever reason, they should put some signs or enlarge the fine print on the back of the ticket. Finally, if a docent tour is coming through the gallery you're in, they tend to dominate the area. It's disruptive but also makes walking around or enjoying the peace and quiet hard.
