  • Very nice place where is the Tower although access is a little complicated. Arriving at the entrance at the top there are good places to take pictures but by the date in which we were long cold and we went fast. Already in think that it would be something similar to the Eiffel Tower, however there are no views from the outside so all the photographs that shots go with reflection of the glass. Many souvenir shops.

  • Explore Namsan climbed up on the observation in the revolving restaurant rice. If you go at night, especially at night it's wonderful place than anything ~

  • It's so pretty at night! Mesmerising view from the viewing deck. The love locks were a sight to behold as well.  more »

  • Very nice spot for tourists! Has many photo opportunities and there are a couple of fun museums inside the building. They offer a package deal if you decide to do both museums and go up the tower. I recommend bringing a date here because there is a very prominent "love / couple" theme here because of the love locks and romantic views. There are good food options as well.
  • This is worth doing if you are in Seoul, even for an extended layover. Take the arex express train to Seoul station and it's a short cab ride to the gondola. I recommend the beer and popcorn special, it was priced much better than admission. The views from the top are 360 degrees and epic! The urban sprawl of Seoul goes as far as the eyes can see. It really is impressive. I was there in January and it was 17ºF and windy so dress warm!
  • Very nice walk up to the tower. Good exercise but not the best option if you are not in fair shape. Then the cable car is a better option. The “lock” tradition on the top is not unique but very impressive. The burger place at the top was also very good and with fair prices. Good half day activity.
  • A nice little park on the hill. It is crowded with tourists and it is the best place to get a view of the city. For a better view go up the tower. There are lots of "tourist/lover locks", so you too can join in the fun. A pleasant stop when you are in Seoul. If you have more time, explore the park or hike down to the main road, which is a lots easier than hiking up.
  • This a good places for couples to visit and have fun. Walking up to the submit is a worthwhile experience as you could catch good view of the city from the hills. The performances at Base of the tower is spectacular, it gives a good appreciation of Korean culture, that is martial arts performances and wearing Korean traditional attire. The loves corners too are memorable places to visit. The dinning experience, 3D experiences and the amusement area is worth the time at the tower.

Where to stay in Seoul

The Seoul metropolitan area has two districts especially appealing to backpackers--Jongno just northeast of the city, and Hongdae to the west. Both offer good shopping and dining, as well as easy transport links to the rest of the city. Mid-range options may prove difficult to find in peak season (July to August), unless you don't mind staying at a traditional hanok guesthouse, where loads of character make up for any lack of amenities. Finally, a range of top-end hotels with an impressive list of services and facilities lie scattered around the city.
