  • I really liked this museum! The workers could speak English at the ticket box and it was a great place to walk around. The museum was large and had a lot of interesting things to learn about. I went during winter but the view was amazing. It's also a museum where you can interact with the buildings by going and peering into the cells. You can go into a box chamber that they used to the torture. And you can see and just feel the serenity of the scene. Overall pretty easy to find by getting out of the subway station and pretty cheap!
  • Seodaemun Prison Hall has a lot of story to be told. It took important part in independence movement during Japanese occupation. It also has notable record of how cruel Japanese was. I really want to explore the whole area, but when I came it was already near closed time, so I just browse in the first building and the exterior of the prison. If you want to understand how Korean fight for their liberty, this museum is a must.
