Walk the 500-year-old halls of the impressive Barcelona Cathedral. Constructed in the 13th century, the Gothic cathedral features a main hall vaulted over five aisles, with dozens of high columns. Saunter the grand hall to admire the high ceilings and ornate altar decor, or wander out to the main cloister where 13 white geese are kept as part of the cathedral’s tradition. Try to spot the famous gargoyles that line the cathedral’s roof and main facade. See Barcelona Cathedral and all Barcelona has to offer by arranging your trip with our Barcelona travel route planner.

Barcelona Cathedral reviews
I stayed in a hotel right next to here and it was a great view very morning. It’s a great back drop to have some food or wine to, also they is someone playing live music to make it even better more »
Absolutely magnificent,, looking up at the architecture of this Cathedral is outstanding,, .. there was a band in the main with locals dancing to their traditional music,, .. very easy to find... more »
Nice place to visit a pray. Centrally located with an easy underground parking within 3min walk. On Sundays at 11am they have a Catalan religious music outside with people dancing a traditional Catalan dance. Be aware that the church is closed during mass on Saturdays and Sundays. Also they have a dress code to have clothes to the knees and covered shoulders. The nice part is they provide scarfs for free (to return ;) ) The surrounding neighborhood is very pleasant with a number of great shops and restaurants. Like most places in Europe, most shops are closed Sundays.
A magnificent cathedral I would recommend everyone to pay their visit. The cathedral is closed to the tourists during mass hours on Sundays. Entry fee is €7 per person. Simple security check prior ticket office. Only thing I appreciate is that if you could please turn your phone on silence while taking photos. Thank you.
