Beitou Hot Spring serves as a relaxing haven rid of noise and traffic. You can reach the site via car, bus, or the metro system's red line, which goes to the city outskirts. The popular area offers many attractions to explore, including an eco-friendly public library, hot springs museum built in 1913, a jade-colored pool sunken into a crater, and a public bath house. Enjoy the open and inviting spas, where the hot spring pools get hotter as you go farther up the steps. You can also visit many traditional restaurants serving delicious Taiwanese meals. A visit to Beitou Hot Spring represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Taipei road trip planner to plot your vacation.

Great place if you are looking for a very inexpensive public hot spring experience! Try to avoid weekend though as you won’t be the only one enjoying the venue. We came on a weekday afternoon in January and it was already quite popular! 4/5 stars for the overall maintenance of the area.

If it’s your first hot spring experience in Taiwan, I’d say this is a decent and cheap one to go to. It wasn’t too crowded at night and everyone was very friendly and helpful. There are quite a few rules you’re suppose to follow which can get confusing. I just watched what everyone else was doing, and many of the locals who spoke English helped us out. It did seem a bit dirty however. Next time, I’d splurge a bit more!
