#4 of 53 in Parks in Taipei
Explore Daan Forest Park, a 26 hectare (64 acre) green space in the center of the city that's known for its trees. Locals and tourists visit the site, nicknamed the "lungs of Taipei city," to take part in outdoor activities like wildlife watching and plant spotting around the ecological pond. Families with young children will find a playground, and for older kids and adults there is an amphitheater that hosts concerts and symphonies. The park also has a jogging loop, skating rink, and underground parking structure. • Large urban park in the heart of Taipei - not far from CKS Memorial Hall and National Taiwan University. Weekends get crowded but not overwhelming. Young and old alike are well represented here. Lots ...  more »
  • For a picnic or a stroll around the family size to friends, there is a difficult green ground in the urban jungle of Taipei, where there is a lot of activity to participate in and to reach.

  • It is a very popular park in the city area, and the Czech Republic is very convenient, and the Czech Republic is also integrated with the park. Take a walk around the park, feel the air fresh, you can stretch. The park is accompanied by a running path, and there are times when you can run around here for a different experience.

  • Daan forest park is surprisingly large and convenient. Of the 3 times I've been there there has been live music twice in the bandstand near the center. They have frequent markets selling fruit and interesting goodies. If you want to go for a run there a several paths than are intertwined, so you will never be stuck behind anyone. There is lots of green grass and open spaces, and even a basketball court if you want to play. You are never far from an exit where there are plenty of 711's and several youbike stations.
  • Playground one of the best in Taipei. The sandbox has large umbrellas to cover from sun. It even has speakers playing kids songs. Everything else in playground is top notch as well. It's just way too crowded on weekends. We only go on weekdays to avoid the crowds.
  • My favorite urban park in Taipei. It's quite huge. Great place for walking, strolling, running. Lots of activities are going on specially at the weekend. Good place for a picnic lunch. Beautiful pond, fishes, flowers, butterflies. Plenty of restrooms are available around the park. A must see for a family with kids.
  • It's a big park, with small lake. Many people come here for refreshing, exercise or just walking around with family, with their dog, friends and their couple. Really love this park. Located at Daan Street, Taipei Taiwan
  • Really nice park, just missing a few places to rest in case of rain, most benches being without. Very close to it, you can find every Saturday a market for any kind of plants you would want to buy, on the north east part of the park.
