※ NO FUN IN LUXY, ONLY HUMILIATION ※
This wednesday night(2011/12/7), me and couple of friends went to luxy, tried to dance and have fun. However, all my friends entered, except for me and another girl. We were not allowed to get in.
In the begining, they said only people who have membership, reservation, or invitation can get in. But my other friends didn't have any of those. We asked many people around, who had already been in and didn't get in yet, no one knows about this rule！ My friends asked staff inside luxy, they also said there were no such limits. There wasn't any special event or dress code either！
The third time we tried to enter, the 3 gards changed to say girls MUST wear high heels. However, we saw some girls who didn't wore high heels entered！
That night, my friend wore shorts, boots, and outercoat.
I wore short dress, boots, and outercoat.
We don't understand what we had done to piss them off that we had to take this humiliation. We've been to luxy so many times! Maybe because we're not good looking, didn't wear as less as possible, not sexy or hot enough? Even if so they could just say that. What's the necessity to find so many ridiculous excuses to give us hard time?! Just say that, we could accept. After all, night club is meat market. We just didn't know there's discrimination in Taiwan night clubs.
After I was back home, I complained about their rudeness to treat clients on their facebook page. Guess what, they erased my posts and blocked my account!! So this is how they manage business！！
I'll NEVER go to luxy anymore！ I'm gonna tell everyone NOT TO go there. Such a big night club as luxy may not care about us, but I'll stop others from having this humiliation as possible as I can.
Anyone who agree with me, please click LIKE of this page and forward it, let more people prepare for being humiliated if they want to go to luxy. If you don't want to be humiliated, please refuse to go there！
We had a great VIP table with friends and celebrated the New Year. We watched the fire works on the roof top from where we could see the fire works from all over Taipei including 101. Service was... more »
Luxy has been around for a long time in Taipei! It's always been one of the most popular night clubs here in the city! They did hold some great events in the past especially anything with the boom... more »
Following recomendation that it is a hip hop club I went. Shock was at the entrance - 700 NT$ - 15 GBP. Club is at 5th floor. but is very small. I would not call it a club at all becasue dancing space is so small. That is a majro problem that causes that club is useless. There were 2 free drinks but one Heineken is very expensie 200 NT$ - 4. 2 GBP. There is no choice of poured beers at all - horrible. I paid for good meal in MCDonalds less then this beer. What was the worst the DJ was horrible, simple techno brainless mix, dancers could not dance at all and lot of brainless young techno fans. Comparing to the clubs in Estern Europe it is not a club.
700 nt door price. Ive never paid that much for any club in my life. This place is way overrated. Nothing special. If you like super loud pop music pounding in your ears with a suffocating cloud of smoke in a mass of people who can't speak English. Here's your fix. The girls are pretty, but good luck talking to them. You will find them not only just as usual occupied with their friends for emotional support but also behind a noise curtain of pop music and DJ announcements. But hey they get in free right? Its only the men who have to pay right? I'll never go back. I talked to a few women until my throat got sore from the shouting, repeating myself, trying out my chinese and coughing from the cigar & cigarette smoke. Most people are not actually talking, but just standing around and some are doing some kind of mash pit like dancing with their hands up. If u wanna meet hot women, try somewhere else, unless your social skills are entirely non-verbal. LOL
