Pray for wealth and luck in business at Hsing Tian Kong, a popular Taoist temple in Taipei’s Zhongshan district. An impressive structure erected on the corner of a very busy intersection, the temple worships Guan Yu, the patron god of businesspeople. Constructed in 1967, the temple features many intricate carved designs and contains a collection of dragon sculptures. Locals flock here to pray, while people wait in line to get a blessing or take part in open lectures held by various Confucian scholars. The busy temple has its own subway station, and no burning of incense is allowed inside the temple. Unique Temple, very busy, recommend standing off to the side, out of the traffic queues and enjoy the ceilings and architecture. Impressive during the day, it's also well lit at night for a different view. Many vegetarian restaurant options in the streets around the Temple.
