Visit Zhongzheng Park, and climb the summit of the hill for panoramic views over the harbor. See the tall, white statue of Guanyin--goddess of mercy--which you can actually climb from the inside. While walking up the hill, explore the various temples and shrines lining the path. Enter the park's Ghost Festival Museum for a deeper explanation of the yearly festival that takes place here. The kids will love the park, too, as it offers various playgrounds with toy cars, bumper cars, or sand pits to keep them entertained. Take a break and enjoy a meal from one of the onsite food carts.
