Wat Chet Yot (Thai: วัดเจ็ดยอด, lit: seven-spired temple) or officially called Wat Photharam Maha Wihan (Thai: วัดโพธารามมหาวิหาร, from Sanskrit: Bōdh Rāma Mahā Vihāra) is a Buddhist temple (Wat) in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. It is a centre of pilgrimage for those born in the year of the Snake.

  • Located on the Chiang Mai to Lamphun highway, this old temple is a must visit, take a walk about the grounds and admire the building, one of the oldest in Chiang Mai and a must visit during your stay  more »
  • This is one of the lesser promoted temples of Chiang Mai but still worth keeping on one's schedule. Having seven spires makes this an unusual temple and it also one in a state of some disrepair...  more »
  • Another example of how the past is preserved in Chiang Mia. There are many temples to see but this one is not spectacular but I think gives a travelers a look at the normal state of these temples. And I believe that the brick and mortor style of construction is difficult to maintain. I enjoyed the site.
