Doi Inthanon, Doi Inthanon National Park

Lovely summit at around 2600m above sea level. Highest point is in a moisty forest with beautiful moss. The golden afternoon light was shining through the greens beautifully. Great spot to take some impressive pictures, printed one of them on a canvas and hung it at home.

We did the hike in about 2 hours. In the sunny dry weather it wasn’t challenging at all; the only delay was to take in the scenery. It’s predominantly walking up/down steps and is a circular route. As the other reviews say, you need to get a local guide to accompany you, but it is well worth it - they point out flowers and plants that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen. We did it around midday but I think it would probably be more interesting at either end of the day - the pictures our guide took from earlier that morning we spectacular.
