St Joseph's Cathedral, Neiafu

#6 of 14 in Things to do in Neiafu
Church · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
It's hard to miss the colonial-style whitewashed facade of St Joseph's Cathedral peering over treetops onto the nearby harbor. The Catholic church's striking yet unpretentious exterior welcomes visitors, and while the interior may seem understated, the service here is anything but. Locals gather in their Sunday best to attend mass and listen to choir belt out beautiful harmonies. You're welcome to visit during non-service times, as well. Look for a small section in the back of the cathedral, where you can look inside. Put St Joseph's Cathedral at the forefront of your travel plans using our Neiafu tour itinerary planning website.
