On the 16th (Sat), don't miss a visit to Sengan-en, make a trip to Kagoshima Chuo Station, then admire the masterpieces at Nagashima Museum, and finally get impressive views of Sakurajima.

Singapore, Singapore to Kagoshima is an approximately 11-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. When traveling from Singapore in May, plan for slightly colder days in Kagoshima, with highs around 28°C, while nights are cooler with lows around 17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Sat) so you can catch the train to Nagasaki.

The hilly port city of Nagasaki has become known internationally as one of the two Japanese cities to be destroyed by an atomic bomb towards the close of World War II.
Start off your visit on the 17th (Sun): steep yourself in history at Glover Garden, don't miss a visit to World Peace Symbol Zone, steep yourself in history at Nagasaki Peace Park, take an in-depth tour of Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Inasa, and finally head off the coast to Hashima Island.

You can take a train from Kagoshima to Nagasaki in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or take a bus. In May, plan for daily highs up to 28°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 17th (Sun) early enough to go by car to Takachiho-cho.

The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Venture out of the city with trips to Dazaifu (Dazaifu Tenman-gu & Komyozen-ji Temple), Kumamoto (Suizenji Jojuen Garden & Kumamoto Castle) and Tenryo Hinagoten (in Hita).
