Kick off your visit on the 7th (Mon): contemplate the long history of Heian Shrine, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and then wander the streets of Gion. On your second day here, hike along Kyoto Isshu Trail, Higahiyama Fuahimi Inari Course, contemplate the long history of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, then step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ryoanji Temple.
