Seoul

— 10 nights
One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Step out of the city life by going to Cheonggyecheon Stream and Bukhansan National Park. Popular historic sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seoul: Paju (The Third Tunnel & DMZ Haemaru Village), Goyang (Ilsan Lake Park & One Mount Water Park) and Korean Folk Village (in Yongin). There's still lots to do: shop like a local with Myeongdong Shopping Street, get great views at N Seoul Tower, take an in-depth tour of National Museum of Korea, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Changdeokgung Palace.

To see other places to visit, where to stay, ratings, and other tourist information, use the Seoul driving holiday planning website.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Gimpo International Airport, Incheon International Airport and Osan Air Base. September in Seoul sees daily highs of 72°F and lows of 71°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
