The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.On the 4th (Tue), meet the residents at SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, then kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, and finally get outside with Gwangalli Beach. Here are some ideas for day two: see the interesting displays at Busan Museum, browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market, then stroll around Yongdusan Park, and finally get great views at Taejongdae.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.Change things up with these side-trips from Jeju: Seogwipo (Seongsan Ilchulbong & Cheonjiyeon Falls). There's lots more to do: Head underground at Manjanggul Cave, head off the coast to Udo, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gwaneumsa Temple, and walk around Sarabong Park.

Getting from Busan to Jeju by flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
