Gateway to the Highlands

Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
Take a break from the city and head to Zipline and Boat Tours & Water Sports. Go for a jaunt from Inverness to Kincraig to see RZSS Highland Wildlife Park about 56 minutes away. Blessed with picturesque lochs and a dramatic, rocky coastline, the far-flung Isle of Skye remains one of Scotland's most beloved destinations.
Step out of the city life by going to Plockton Seal Trips and Neist Point. Step out of Isle of Skye to go to Kyle of Lochalsh and see Eilean Donan Castle, which is approximately 52 minutes away. Traveling from Inverness in July, you will find days in Isle of Skye are little chillier (19°C), and nights are about the same (12°C). Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Fort William.

Fort William

Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Escape the urban bustle at Glen Coe and Nevis Range Mountain Resort. On the 25th (Mon), dedicate a day to the elevated beauty of Ben Nevis. The adventure continues: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour and take in the dramatic scenery at Steall Waterfall.
