Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.On the 31st (Mon), enjoy the sand and surf at Seven Mile Beach, identify plant and animal life at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, and then steep yourself in history at Claremont House. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 1st (Tue): get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.

Perth to Hobart is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of train, ferry, and bus. Derwent Bridge is a locality on the Lyell Highway at the southern edge of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park.It is just south of Lake St Clair and the Lake St Clair visitor centre; and it is north of Lake King William and the Butlers Gorge Power Station.It is also the last inhabited location before Linda Valley in the West Coast Range - this section of the highway passes through the Wild Rivers National Park. Start off your visit on the 2nd (Wed): pause for some photo ops at The Wall in the Wilderness, then contemplate the waterfront views at Lake St. Clair, and then take some stellar pictures from King William Saddle. On the next day, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Frenchmans Cap and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.
