Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Tokyo is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Kuala Lumpur in December, expect Tokyo to be much colder, temps between 14°C and 4°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Sun) early enough to catch the train to Matsumoto.
