Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Get some historical perspective at Tokyo National Museum and Sensō-ji. You'll explore and learn at Edo-Tokyo Museum and Ghibli Museum Mitaka. Step out of Tokyo to go to Hakone-machi and see The Hakone Open-Air Museum, which is approximately 1h 40 min away. There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Odaiba, don't miss a visit to Shibuya Crossing, and get a taste of the local shopping with Ginza.

Tel Aviv, Israel to Tokyo is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Visit Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kiyomizu-dera Temple for their historical value. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Kinkaku-ji and Ryoanji Temple. There's lots more to do: take a stroll through Gion, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Heian Shrine, shop like a local with Nishiki Market Shopping District, and contemplate the long history of Sanjusangendo Temple.

Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Osaka Castle as well as Dotonbori. Your inner history buff will appreciate Himeji Castle and Koyasan Okunoin. Take a break from the city and head to Nara Park and Mt. Koya. It doesn't end there: take a stroll through Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street and examine the collection at Osaka Shiritsu Toyo Toji Museum.
