Seoul

— 13 nights
One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get a sense of the local culture at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village. Let the collections at Seoul Arts Center and National Museum of Korea capture your imagination. Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Bucheon (Bucheon Botanical Garden & Bucheon Natural Ecological Park), DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju) and Siheung Lotus Flower Theme Park (in Siheung). Spend the 18th (Thu) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Next up on the itinerary: visit Insadong, explore the striking landscape of Bukhansan National Park, tour the pleasant surroundings at Cheonggyecheon Stream, and shop like a local with Myeongdong Shopping Street.

To see other places to visit, photos, reviews, and tourist information, go to the Seoul trip itinerary planning site.

If you are flying in from Malaysia, the closest major aiports are Gimpo International Airport, Incheon International Airport and Osan Air Base. In March, daily temperatures in Seoul can reach 13°C, while at night they dip to 1°C.
