One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Step off the beaten path and head to Changgyeonggung Palace and Gwanghwamun Gate. Kids will appreciate attractions like Bongeunsa Temple and Deoksugung. Explore Seoul's surroundings by going to Hwaseong Fortress (in Suwon) and Paju (The Third Tunnel & DMZ Haemaru Village). The adventure continues: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Myeong-dong Cathedral and contemplate the long history of Namsangol Hanok Village.

The capital of the country's northernmost province, the city of Chuncheon acts a gateway to the wilder sights of the rural region.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Sat): get in on the family fun at Gangchon Rail Park, take in the spiritual surroundings of Cheongpyeongsa, and then take in the views from Soyang River Sky Walk.

Traveling by car from Incheon to Chuncheon takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of subway and train. In April, daytime highs in Chuncheon are °C, while nighttime lows are °C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) so you can drive to Pyeongchang-gun.

A northern county in the Taebeak Mountain region of South Korea, Pyeongchang offers a plethora of year-round alpine resorts.
On the 7th (Sun), contemplate the long history of Jangneung, thenappreciate the extensive heritage of Korean Peninsula-shaped Cliffs (Seonam Village), and then see the interesting displays at Lee Hyo-seok Memorial Hall. On your second day here, admire the verdant scenery at Eorayeon Valley, get to know the fascinating history of Cheonglyeongpo, and then browse the eclectic array of goods at Pyeongchang Olympic Market.

Getting from Chuncheon to Pyeongchang-gun by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a bus; or do a combination of train and taxi. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) to allow time to travel to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.

Fly from Pyeongchang-gun to Jeju in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of taxi, train, and ferry. On the 14th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
