Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Get outdoors at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Seven Mile Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Long Beach and Opossum Bay Beach. Step out of Hobart to go to Port Arthur and see Port Arthur Historic Site, which is approximately 1h 10 min away. The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Mona, get a taste of the local shopping with Salamanca Market, appreciate the extensive heritage of Battery Point Sculpture Trail, and head off the coast to Macquarie Island.

Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
Step out of the city life by going to Wineglass Bay Lookout and Melshell Oysters. Do some cultural sightseeing at Gala Estate Vineyard and Spiky Bridge. Spend the 22nd (Tue) exploring nature at Freycinet National Park.
