A global center of finance and transportation, Frankfurt is perhaps best known for its futuristic cityscape.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Wilhelmstrasse and Stefans Wine Paradise. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Burg Eltz and Beilstein Castle/Burg Metternich. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Frankfurt: Eberbach Abbey (in Eltville am Rhein), Marburg (Lutherische Pfarrkirche St. Marien & St. Elizabeth Church) and Schlossgarten Fulda (in Fulda).
