Kyoto Gyoen National Garden and Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Popular historic sites such as Jojakkoji Temple and Chishaku-in are in your itinerary. Get out of town with these interesting Kyoto side-trips: Uji (Obakusan Manpuku - ji Temple, Mimurotoji Temple, &more) and Shuonan Ikkyuji Temple (in Kyotanabe).
