Get some historical perspective at Senso-ji Temple and Imperial Palace. Get a sense of the local culture at Edo-Tokyo Museum and Asakusa. When in Tokyo, make a side trip to see Ghibli Museum Mitaka in Mitaka, approximately Mitaka away. And it doesn't end there: admire the masterpieces at Tokyo National Museum, walk around Odaiba Kaihin Koen (Odaiba Seaside Park), wander the streets of Odaiba District, and get a taste of the local shopping with Ginza.

When traveling from Hatsukaichi in November, plan for a bit warmer days and much warmer nights in Miyakojima: temperatures range from 30°C by day to 24°C at night.
